I'm in the mood for..

...Free writing XD actually, I was in the mood to do just that a while ago, but then it disappeared after I thought of plants vs. zombies too much xD so in order not to waste this post, I'll just put up a little something I copied from my Gaia Online Journal. It's the prologue to a story I call "The Jack's House". :D

"It's such a lovely season...The house is particularly lively at this time. So many customers going in and out..."
The cool sunshine flooded in the gold-framed window and into the cozy room. It was a feeling Madame Jack had always loved, for it reminded her of her husband...
"Indeed, Madame." said the maidservant who was attending to her needs; with the Madame's grace, she casually sat down on the velvet couch in the presence of her master. "The staff is also very busy. Customers are flooding in and out of the house, Madame."

Madame Jack smiled gently. She always had such a gentle countenance on in the face of her servants...Yet it was this same face that urged everyone else to give her the highest form of respect. Whether it was because her husband was the previous Jack or because of her kind-hearted nature, no one knew. They just loved her the way she was.

"Layla dear, what of Genevieve? Is she still infatuated with that boy?" Madame Jack asked...She asked it with such innocent politeness that it persuaded Layla to tell the truth.

"I'm afraid so, Madame Jack." replied Layla. "She sees him constantly every night, thinking that she could hide from your watchful eye..."
"At ease, Layla. Do not condemn her; it is her happiness that she seeks. Bring her to me later in private after the day's duties are fulfilled."

Madame Jack walked across the velvet-carpeted room gracefully. She took a gilded cane that was leaning on the couch, and allowed her weight to be supported by it.

Layla stood up, somewhat surprised. "Madame, are you...?"
Madame Jack once again looked at her with a soft, inviting look in her eyes. "Yes my dear, I shall release her from her duties. You know the tradition."

Madame Jack continued to the door, and quietly closed it behind her.

"...Yes madame...It is forbidden to fall in love." Layla quietly said, almost to herself. She knew the Madame was listening though. Obediently, as maidservants should be, she followed after her master and into the hall.

....And so that's the end of it :D I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. LOL...Cheers.
