Praise and Worship

Woohoo! I finally know how to play a bit of the bass guitar... I'm no expert yet, though. I admit that I only know the very basics, but hey, we all start somewhere, right? Hehe. This coming Saturday we're gonna have our Christmas party, and it's gonna be exciting... What's more, I get to be the bassist during the praise and worship!! It's gonna be my first time, and I'm really excited! Ahehehe. I'm also going to be the bassgirl for a special presentation... Hehe. I'm really excited.

Ahw man!! While we were practicing the song "For All You've Done", something really struck me and nearly stopped me from being the bassgirl in the praise and worship. This is how it went... My senpai, my friends Black and Red were in the music room practicing. Red then asked my senpai, "you're going to play the bass, right?" and my senpai said "No, I'm the guitarist! Flint over there is gonna play the bass." Then Red just stared at me in disbelief. It was a blank face, but the words "What?? YOU??" were written all over his face! I was like "Whaaaat??...Oh, I get it...I know I know, if I'M the one who's gonna play the bass I'll ruin the performance, I understand..." Though I said that in a joking way, I really was struck by what he said. Like I said, I easily get discouraged when it comes to something I have no talent in. Like hello, I try my best in practicing the bass... And of all the people to doubt me, it HAD to be him... SIgh. Ahehe, well after that, he grew silent and all, and my senpai told me and Black to stop chatting and pointed at him... I smiled teasingly (he was playing with some sort of...stand?) at him because he looked silly. Then, senpai asked, "Re~d, what's wrong?" "yeah? you look weird." I said. "you look rather bothered...." Said my senpai again. "A~ha! It's because you hurt flint!" She exclaimed. Haha, of course she was just joking, but Red quickly rode the flow and said "yeah, that's right...It's because I hurt Flint... I'm so bothered..." he said teasingly. I guess he was joking, but hearing him say that made me feel better, even if it was just a joke. Haha!

• My senpai said that Red wasn't trying to "hurt" me in the first place... She said he was just worried because he's never seen me play the bass before, and it's gonna be my first time playing for the praise and worship. Riiiiiight....
• I really look up to Red as a brother, because...well, because. He's someone I could never say "no" to... I look up to him because he's good at playing the guitar, and he's mature in the faith (more mature than I am, that's for sure). He's got a good sense of humor, and he knows how to listen to you when you're troubled. He rocks!!
