Musashi: Samurai Legend
Ahhh,,,Finally, one of the games I always wanted...is here!! In MY hands!! Ahehe. Don't mind that...I'm quite overjoyed. Musashi: Samurai legend is a sequel to the game Brave Fencer Musashi. I've played BFM once, and I enjoyed it. When I first saw Samurai Legend, I was craving for it... It looked totally awesome! Hehe. Well yesterday while my bro and I were searching for some nice games, he found Samurai Legend and we bought it with no second thoughts.
What do I think??
Well, at first the game seems fairly odd. The graphics are nice, and the artstyle is pretty cool (as expected from Square Enix). The weirdest thing about this game is the voice acting... Seriously, it
kinda needs a little work. At first, it seemed as if Musashi was having a hard time speaking, and his choice of words were so "simple" (if you've played BFM, you'll know what I'm talking about...I think). But later on I got used to the thing and I thought "well, it aint so bad." unfortunately it's quite short (can be finished within 10-15 hours of playing), but if you're a slow gamer li
ke me, it'll take about 30 hours to accomplish everything (I mean EVERYTHING: as in 100%). The battle system doesn't really stand out, but if you don't mind plain hack and slashing (plus a mix of a few others) you won't be bothered by it. One unique feature is that you can gain new techs by focusing on an enemy, and then once your gauge is full you can strike them when they're about to do their special move. This is totally different from BFM's fusion (you only need to fill the gauge, hit R1[?], then tap []). Accdng. to gamespot, it's nice but somewhat shallow, and it can be finished in no time, which is kinda disappointing for me because I'm a fan of the game. But it's still worth playing!
Overall, it's a nice game that may not exactly be as spectacular as kingdom hearts or as deep as final fantasy, but it's a nice game worth playing (that's what I think).
notes:
- My score for this is...7.5! Hehe.

- This is a relatively old game already... I think it was around when I was in 6th grade or in my freshman year.
