The next generation

Hm... I've been thinking... Well today our church had a meeting in a restaurant called Pizza d' Amore, and my brother and I waited in another table, along with three friends. The eldest, and one of the facilitators of the Youth Ministry, told us that we should be part of the band now that things are getting busy. I told him , "but I dont have any talent for music!" but he said "It doesn't matter at all!"... He then asked me what kind of instruments I'd like to play, and I told him that I'd like to learn the bass guitar... He said that he could teach me, and so I decided to take up his offer. "me, the bassgirl?" I told myself. To be honest I'm a slow learner when it comes to music, but playing the bass is something I'd really like to learn. Besides, this is for the Lord, not for me or anyone else... Come to think of it, our current band won't be our band forever. the youth band wont be a "youth" band forever... Sooner or later we'll have to take over. And the ones taking over will be us, the youngest ones. I mean, our current youth band is made of graduating students, and once they've graduated, they'll be off to join the singles ministry. And me? I'm still what, 15 years old... I wont be joining the singles any time soon. So that's why we're preparing ourselves, coz once they're gone, it's our turn... Phew. It's kinda odd... I mean, knowing that they won't be there anymore when we have our weekly youth service... Then we'll be saying stuff like "I remember when he was still in our youth service, he would blah blah blah...".. Hmm, I dunno when that day will be, but I'll make sure we'll be ready for it.
