Hm! Wild ARMs 5 again. Well, later on in the story, Dean, Rebecca, Avril, Greg, Carol and Chuck will have to take down the TF System towers. And of course, the Four Sentinels (namely Fereydoon, Kartikeya, Persephone and Elvis) are guarding the towers. In each tower, you'll have to beat two bosses then take down the big shot. Note that each tower has its own element (Persephone-Fire; Kartikeya-wind; Fereydoon-earth and Elivs-Water)... Anyway, battling with these dudes has gotta be one of the most troublesome things ever. It takes a long time to beat them (especially Fereydoon)... And just when you think it's over, you're gonna have to fight them one on one... Rebecca vs. Persephone, Chuck vs. Fereydoon, Greg vs. Kartikeya and Carol vs. Elvis. Dean has had his fight already--him vs. Nightburn. I dunno with Avril... I've forgotten already... Or maybe she hasn't fought yet? I really dunno... Maybe she fought with Ice Queen Avril? Err... I forget. Anyhow! Lemme describe how my battles went...
Persepnone
This was easy. Persephone is kinda tricky, but not hard at all. It just takes a long time to beat her. Her fire attacks are pretty nasty, but not that hard. And her special attack may knock you out right away, but revive will fix everything. Just stand firm on one strategy and beat her.
one on one
I never expected a one-on-one fight because Persephone was the first one I beat! Good thing I equipped Rebecca with a Sea medium berforehand. During the fight, I stupidly wasted my MP on healing, until it finally hit 15 or so. Then I decided to stay on a Fire hex to reduce the damage of her fire attacks (I also had the Frey amulet on so her Fire attacks were relatively weak already), and I just waited things out. It was pretty simple... All I had to do was stand and shoot, and with the help pf my Ley MP Regen ability, heal...
Kartikeya
This dude was really troublesome. For me, the battle difficulty was average...The only thing that bugged me was Kartikeya's outrageously large strength (around 1154 I think)... And again, all I had to do was stay on one strategy, and that's that (Dean and Greg trapping him, and Avril healing while standing on a Water hex. Can't get any simpler than that.)...
One on One
Now this one was tricky. To be honest, I lost about 4 times because I wasn't well prepared! Greg was only level 55, and Kartikeya was level 56(?)... I was at a disadvantage. With a sword medium, 2 potion berries and improper equipment my defeat was inevitable. I decided to level up until Greg hit level 57. I also went out and gathered 12 potion berries... Then I went back. This time I was able to beat him... This time I didn't stand and shoot. I had to move around (especially when he's about to do his special attack) and I conserved my MP. I tried to stay on a hex with an element as much as possible (coz of the Ley HP Regen)... In the end, when Greg's life had already hit red, I used Intrude and beat Kartikeya.
Fereydoon
This guy was sorta tricky. His laser silhouette is the strongest special attack among all the four sentinels (damage is 5000 if I remember correctly...). He had abilities like Healing Factor (restores 5000 HP--kinda small if you look at his life), Jump and Stone Bullet. I had a relatively hard time with Fereydoon, because his HP didn't drop lower than half his life for about 20 minutes because of his healing factor. Sheez, took me about an hour to bring him down, and 30 minutes to settle the one on one (hey, whaddaya expect? I'm no expert gamer). I had to use about 2 or 3 different strategies to beat him down. And since he was tough, I equipped Chuck with the Sea Medium just to make sure (hey, better safe than sorry, better paranoid than dead, right?)...It was real tricky.
one on one
Hm, the one on one was actually very easy. I only used heal about 10-15 times... I stood on an Earth Hex (plus I had a geo amulet on) so his earth attacks weren't bad. Pretty easy... But because missed from time to time (2 out of 5 of my attacks missed), it took me about half an hour to beat this guy.
Elvis
Last one! Elvis was easy (although his water attacks were kinda mean), or maybe it's because I was 4 levels higher than he was? In any case, I won. As usual, I settled on one strategy to win. His special attack is probably the weakest one among the four of them (damage was around 2300+ to 3000+)...
One on one
Err, easier than I thought. I equipped Carol with her Luck Medium--and it didn't take me long to win. She usually had 2 turns (maybe coz of the Ley RFX up?), and it was pretty convenient. The easiest one on one battle, I'd have to say.
Well that's that! Hehe. I just did this coz I enjoyed the Battle with the four sentinels... I aint an expert gamer, but you don't have to be one to enjoy the game, right? Hehe...
notes:
- This game's fun.I give it an 8.0 outta 10.
- Sigh...I'm almost done with the game...
