A simple dream...

Hm...Well, today we had a short Bible study in the afternoon. We talked about God's grace and stuff, and how we can use our talents to help others. I reflected... What major talents has God given me? What are the natural gifts that God has given me? I thought about it a lot... At first I was thinking of the really "big" ones, like if I had the talent of listening or relating to others, offering comfort, etc... Well I could never answer those questions... Only my friends can tell. Anyhow, I kept thinking... Until our "leader" told us that God wouldn't give us talents if we can't excel in that thing. Then it came to me: I could speak, and I could write! Many people have been telling me that I have a modulated voice, hence I could be a good reporter (so they say)... Or lawyer, or whatever. But this talent has already been exposed... It's not a big deal to me. But the thing I sorta keep in the dark is my "talent" for writing...I'm not trying to boast or anything. Whatever I imagine I write it in paper in the form of words. I am currently writing 5 different stories here (3 are dormant*; 1 is on hold*, and one is active*). Anyhow, I told myself, "if I can write stories like these, then surely I could write other kinds of books..." The books I'm talking about aren't the kind James Patterson or Tom Clancy or Stephen King writes. It's the kind that helps others in their Christian walk--like the ones written by Max Lucado*, Rick Warren, Henry and Richard Blackaby, and Bruce Wilkinson. These are the kinds of books I wanna write about...

What I really want is a successful life as an accountant, or maybe a businesswoman, or whatever... And then what I'd like is a nice "side-job" or whatever you call it. And that would be writing books about God. I wanna use the knowledge I have now and share it to the world... I wanna tell the others how Faithful God is to me even though there are times when I fail to trust in Him. I wanna share my Passion for God! It's a dream I wanna achieve... And by God's grace, I will.
